Project Example
From developing the initial cost plan, to setting the strategy for cost control, programme and logistics.
The assignment wasn't about conforming to a role, it was about adapting to the clients needs and the moving challenges of integrating a prototype 3D design into an advancing construction model.
Acting as lead, managing a small team of Architects and Structural Engineers, whilst overseeing demolition of the redundant flour mill, required a dynamic approach to problem solving.
Poor ground conditions, were the least of the issues to overcome.
Developing a plan to keep the clients existing HTP and processing operations required a deep understanding of their operational needs. During extensive on site workshops and using swept path analysis we developed a temporary works solution which worked throughout the entire project, all whilst advancing the permanent and long term needs of the scheme.
Leading the team through the challenges of COVID19 also required a client willing to trust and support the project.
This project typified what a good client, a collaborative contract and proactive dedicated team can achieve with the appropriate planning, and processes in place.
